Lauren and Markie
Lauren Ash Morgan, born in 1981, and a member of SSC's Board of Directors from 2011, was the founding co-artistic director of Speech of Fire. Additionally, she was a part of the SSC as a producer, costume/set design composer/music director, and text-coach and as the Artistic Director. The last year of her tenure, she was a director of lighting and design in SSC's production of King Lear. She had directed from the ensemble but in this the year that she made her directorial debut.
